This morning I am on my way home from a two-week road trip that has taken me to Minneapolis and Kuwait.  It has been a long two weeks, and as I sat in the Kuwait Airport last night waiting for the flight to Washington I must admit I was feeling a little sorry for myself for having to be away from my wonderful family for two weeks at a time.  And then, I was joined by over a hundred men and women...

On Turning 50
Today is my birthday.  I am 50 years old as of today.  50 seems old to me although I do not feel old.  My Dad informs me that it is not all down hill from here but that 50 is merely a scenic overlook on the journey. School starting at UMO
We took sons Ned and Dylan to University of Maine at Orono today. Both fine young men that I am very proud of. I am very excited for them for the year that is ahead, but I am missing them a lot tonight.
